The first full month of summer begins with the launch of our summer teen missions program — SST (www.sst.org). This is a brilliant program to give teenagers the opportunity during their summer break to step into real missions. This isn’t “tourism missions”…it’s the real deal. After a week of training and applying the of the truth of the Gospel into their own lives, the participants are launched for their second week to their outreach destination equipped to reach the lost with the Gospel. That destination can be a U.S. urban center or an overseas nation depending on the year of involvement. Of course it’s a growing time for each one as they move from their comfort zones and current level of growth to a new level of understanding of God’s heart for people. We’re hoping to see about 300 students participate through the summer this year.
