Even though the effects of Hurricane Harvey are only 3-4 hours down the road, it’s hard to imagine the magnitude of the devastation people are experiencing. At our location we’ve not even had any rain to speak of. We have about 20 refugees staying with us at our missions center. YWAMers have gathered bedding, towels, etc. for them and they are enjoying the fellowship as they eat with us in our dining facility here and join us for times of worship at the YWAM Tyler campus.
We were encouraged to hear that our satellite location, YWAM Houston, has not sustained any damage to their homes or belongings. We continue to pray for the staff there as they seek the Lord for how to effectively respond to the needs of people all around them.
